Independence Day
Dan and I spent the 4th of July with just the two of us. It was a fun get-away-as-a-couple-time for me! We decided to float the Provo River in our little raft. We took this picture before we dropped into the river, fortunately we didn't take the camera with us in the river because we probably would have lost it!
We started at the top of Provo Canyon. We pulled out of the river when we got to a little dam and carried the raft around it and got back in the water. The water was moving a lot faster on the other side of the dam and there were a lot more sharp rocks and trees in the water. We didn't last long before we popped the outer air chamber on the raft. Within minutes we also popped the inner chamber. We laughed a lot and managed to get out of the river with only minor injuries! We had a long walk back to the car, but we had a great time! Later that night we took the jeep up onto the mountain near our house so that we could watch the fireworks. I loved spending the day with Dan!
